New Infrared Technologies
Madrid based New Infrared Technologies (NIT) is a supplier of uncooled midwave-IR detectors (1-5 microns) fabricated using Vapor Phase Deposition. Products include single-element detectors, linear arrays and imaging FPAs. NIT’s Matrix 1024 is the world’s first commercial uncooled MWIR imager based on PbSe. These MWIR sensors are demonstrating detection rate of 1,700 images per second, with a path to 20,000 fps in the near future. The detectors are Si-CMOS compatible and enable monolithic integration with CMOS circuitry. NIT’s PbSe detectors are 30% the cost, 8% the size and provide 10X the image frame rate of the most widely used MWIR detectors.
